How we use your information

We only use the information you give us to do the thing you submitted it for. In practice, that means:

  • If you apply for a job, we use your details and CV to consider your application for that role and to contact you about it. By applying for an advertised role, you consent to your CV and contact details being shared with the employer of that role.
  • If you submit your CV without applying for a specific role, we use your details to contact you about roles that may be suitable, and to put you forward for roles with prospective employers where you have asked us to.
  • If you submit a vacancy as an employer, we use your details to contact you about that vacancy and to provide our recruitment service.
  • If you send us a message via the contact form, we use your details to reply to you.

We will not send you marketing emails, sell your information, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who we share your information with

We may share your information with:

  • Prospective employers — where you have applied for a role they have advertised through us, or have asked us to put you forward for a role.
  • Our hosting and email provider (GoDaddy) — who store our website and email on our behalf so the site and email can function. They act under contract and only process your data to provide their service.
  • Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law.

We do not transfer your information outside the UK or European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards in place.

Our lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Your consent — when you submit a form on this website you are consenting to us using the information you provide for the purpose described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate our recruitment business, respond to enquiries, and keep our systems secure.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to keep records or disclose information by law.

How long we keep your information

  • Job applications, CVs, and candidate registrations: 12 months from your last contact with us, after which we will delete or anonymise your record unless you ask us to keep it for longer.
  • Vacancy submissions from employers: for the duration of our working relationship, plus six years afterwards for accounting and contractual record-keeping.
  • Contact form messages: 12 months from the date of the message, unless an ongoing matter requires us to keep it for longer.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your information (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict how we use your information.
  • Object to us processing your information.
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting any processing that has already happened.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the top of this policy. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us, including hosting the website on systems with up-to-date security patches, restricting access to submitted data to authorised staff, and transferring submissions over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we will tell you and the ICO if we ever become aware of a personal data breach that affects you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change we will say so clearly on this page.
